Welcome to Certification Specialties of Central Carolina Inc

The American Heart Association was started in 1924 by six physicians. By the 1960's, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was being taught to physicians. The University of Washington, in 1972, launched the first mass citizen classes in CPR. Now days Adult, child, infant First Aid and CPR/AED classes are offered by many colleges and organizations.

Emergencies can happen at any time and to any person. Professionals with the right kind of training can make a big difference by saving lives and lowering the risks of permanent disabilities, so many organizations require their employees to undergo Cardio-Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training. Others require them to train for detection and management of Adult or Pediatric First Aid or First Aid/CPR/AED, Blood Borne Pathogens, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (ITS SIDS), and Medication Administration for Unlicensed Personnel in the Community. (This course is for people working in Group Homes. Substance Abuse Centers and other facilities who are licensed under NC Mental Health Dept).

Medical Personnel and students attending a healthcare program will need a Basic Life Support (BLS) class. The former name for this class was Healthcare Provider. All AHA cards are acceptable for two years. Students can be considered for a renewal BLS class as long as they have had a BLS class previously. Please call the instructor at 919-718-9051 to discuss.

Professionals and businesses across Lee County, Sanford, NC, may find several choices. In fact, most local hospitals, community colleges, and even Duke University look for courses with AHA credentials. This is where Certification Specialties of Central Carolina Inc differs from other training centers in the area. he AHA now offers the "Total Pathway" which is OHSA APPROVED!!!

Nowadays Adult, Child, infant First Aid and CPR/AED classes are offered by many colleges and organizations.

All the classes and training sessions are offered by an experienced RN with over 45 years of nursing experience and who is an American Heart Association-approved BLS instructor with over ten years of experience in teaching these courses.
